Notice: Draft Document Pending Formal Legal Review
This document outlines data handling and technical processing practices for the Norticus Software website and its digital tools. Commercial operator details, infrastructure verifications, and statutory compliance wording remain subject to formal review and confirmation by Luvia Everyday Joy. This draft does not constitute formal legal certification.
1. Who Operates the Website
This website and the digital products developed under the Norticus Software brand are operated commercially by:
Formal business registration details, applicable legal jurisdictions, and official postal address will be updated upon final administrative confirmation.
2. Information Processed When You Visit
When you browse this website, hosting network infrastructure automatically processes technical network requests necessary to transmit web pages to your browser securely and reliably.
Website preview and delivery are currently served via Cloudflare infrastructure (including previews on Cloudflare Workers and Pages environments). In delivering static assets and mitigating security threats or abusive traffic, Cloudflare's edge network processes standard HTTP connection metadata. This may include your IP address, browser user-agent string, operating system, requested URL, referring page, and request timestamps.
Direct Studio Handling: Norticus Software does not directly collect, maintain, or query server-side visitor logs, nor do we construct user profiles or link technical request data to personal identities. Provider-level edge log retention, geographical processing points, and infrastructure security configurations are managed by Cloudflare in accordance with their standard infrastructure practices and privacy documentation.
3. Cookies, Analytics, and Self-Hosted Fonts
We strive to keep the website minimal and avoid client-side tracking:
- No Tracking or Advertising Cookies: This website does not set tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, or cross-site tracking scripts.
- No Client-Side Web Analytics: We do not operate third-party analytics scripts, marketing beacons, or session replay tools on this website.
- Self-Hosted Web Fonts: Typographic font files (Plus Jakarta Sans, Inter, and JetBrains Mono) are hosted directly as static assets within our website distribution under the SIL Open Font License. Your browser does not connect to external font delivery networks (such as Google Fonts), and your IP address is not shared with third-party font providers.
Technical Note: The absence of client-side tracking scripts or cookies does not alter the fact that hosting-provider edge infrastructure processes standard network connection requests as outlined in Section 2.
4. How KERF Handles PDF Files
KERF is an independent preflight diagnostic tool designed for authors, self-publishers, and book creators. We recognize that manuscripts and cover artwork represent sensitive, proprietary creative work.
Diagnostic Architecture:
- • In-Browser Processing Design: In the current implementation, the KERF diagnostic engine is designed to run locally within the user's browser session. File parsing, geometry calculations, and preflight rule checks execute in browser memory using client-side JavaScript libraries.
- • Distinction Between Asset Downloads and Document Handling: Accessing the KERF web application requires your browser to download static application files (HTML, stylesheets, scripts) from the hosting provider. In contrast, selecting a PDF for preflight is designed to load document bytes solely into local browser memory without uploading manuscript data to Norticus Software servers.
- • Verification Scope: These architectural statements reflect code inspection of the diagnostic engine design. Because KERF remains in development and has not yet been deployed to a public production URL, live end-to-end network telemetry across all operational environments will be verified during staging deployment. We do not make unqualified guarantees that no network transmission could ever occur in unsupported or modified environments, nor do we assert unverified security certifications or specialized encryption claims.
5. Email Communications and Data Retention
Inbound email correspondence sent to contact@norticussoftware.com is forwarded to our administrative mailbox via Cloudflare Email Routing. When you contact the studio by email, we receive the personal information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name, and message contents.
- Use of Information: Contact information is used solely to respond to your inquiry, provide support, or discuss product feedback. We do not sell, rent, or distribute contact details, nor do we add correspondents to marketing mailing lists.
- Data Retention Practices: We intend to retain correspondence only for as long as necessary to address your request and maintain reasonable business records. Formal mailbox retention workflows and administrative cleanup procedures are currently being defined; we do not promise an automated fixed deletion schedule at this draft stage.
6. Privacy Rights and Legal Review
Depending on your jurisdiction and the legal frameworks that apply to your interactions with us (such as regulations in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or various US states), you may hold statutory rights regarding personal data held about you. Where applicable, these may include rights to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of personal correspondence.
For privacy inquiries or requests regarding personal data, contact contact@norticussoftware.com.
The legal scope, applicable legal bases (such as legitimate interest or consent), cross-border data transfer mechanisms, and third-party infrastructure recipient disclosures are subject to formal legal counsel review before commercial launch.
Items Pending Formal Legal Review & Confirmation:
- Final operator legal identity, registered address, and statutory registration ID for Luvia Everyday Joy.
- Formal procedure and response workflows for handling statutory privacy rights requests.
- Formal determination of applicable legal bases, data processor relationships, and international data transfer safeguards.
- Documented retention and deletion schedules for inbound customer correspondence.
Policy Updates: This draft policy will be updated as operational infrastructure is finalized and formal legal review is completed. Revised versions will be published on this page with an updated effective date and version number.
